Letter to a Politician Entry

In groups, students should compose a blog entry in the form of a letter to Al Gore or George W. Bush, expressing their opinions about global warming and suggestions for how to live a sustainable life.

FATIMA-LUCIA-FATIMA TO THE PRESIDENT BUSH
We represent a group of English student class from Columbia University who worry about enviroment changes. We had a special class to discuss about Global Warming. After that we had to write a letter to a politician to give our idea to help the enviroment. We agreed with the idea to use solar energy for houses, cars and industries. Also have a regulation for industries to adapt filters for polution. Other idea is to plant more trees and educate population about recycle, and give special programs for kids about Global Warming. Moreover the education programs about polution has to start in colleges to reach the school and communities, and include the subject in the curriculum at school.

Dear Mr. Gore:

I am writting to offer some solutions against the Global Warming problem.

We propose that government should focus on recycling process. It means more education and enforcing people to separate the garbage. People should know why they have to recycle and how they need to do it.

For people understand the process the government needs to establish rules of recycling and inform them by advertising, TV and radio.

We hope this idea helps to stop Global Warming at least a little bit.

Sincerely,

Green Gruop

The government should make a policy that companies have to develop green energy such as wind, solar and ethanol. If we use natural energy, we will have less contamination because using an oil it contribute to destroy all world.
